About HRI Med

HRI Med is Health Revenue Intelligence, for practices outside behavioral health.

HRI built its service running the revenue cycle for behavioral-health facilities: benefits, authorizations, claims, posting, denials, appeals, underpayments and the payer intelligence behind all of it. HRI Med brings that full service to independent medical, dental and specialty practices, with credentialing and payer enrollment for the practice that cannot bill yet. HRI runs it.

iWhy HRI Med exists

In our own words.

Why we built HRI Med.

To the owner of an independent practice,

Health Revenue Intelligence has spent its working life on the revenue cycle of behavioral-health facilities. Much of that work starts after something has gone wrong: a denied claim, a payer asking for money back, an enrollment nobody finished.

We serve every kind of provider, but our front door was built for facilities. HRI Med is the front door for everyone else: independent medical practices first, then dental practices, therapy clinics, chiropractors and optometrists. Each one gets the same attention our facilities get.

When new programs started writing to Health Revenue Intelligence, most of them needed one thing before anything else. They needed credentialing. They had staff and a lease, and not one payer had set an effective date. Medical practices hit that wall too. A practice opens, a physician joins, a new service goes on the menu, and each one waits on a payer before it earns a dollar. We print our fees. Enrollment is the fastest way in, because a practice that cannot bill yet needs it first.

After the payers say yes, the longer work begins. We check benefits before the visit, keep authorizations on file, build and follow each claim, post each payment against what it should have been, and work each denial back to its cause. You see where all of it stands every Friday.

We cannot open a closed panel, and we cannot make a payer decide faster than it chooses to. We can make sure nothing waits on our side of the desk. We can also tell you plainly what we know and what nobody knows yet.

If that is the help your practice needs, write to us. Your request lands in our own inbox.

iiThe service

What one firm holds for the practice.

What HRI runs for a practice.

A practice that works with HRI Med hands one firm the whole cycle. The service is HRI's, carried over in full.

Eligibility and benefits
Checked before the visit, so coverage surprises surface at the front desk and not on a denial.
Authorizations
Requested, tracked and kept on file against the visits they cover.
Claims
Built to each payer's rules, sent and followed until the payer pays or answers.
Posting and reconciliation
Every payment matched to what the contract says it should have been.
Denials, appeals and underpayments
Worked to the cause, appealed where the practice is owed, and closed upstream.
Reporting and payer intelligence
A plain account each Friday, read against HRI's notes on how each payer behaves.
Credentialing and enrollment
The practice and each provider enrolled with the payers it needs, followed to an effective date.
iiiThe sibling

One firm, two front doors.

Part of Health Revenue Intelligence, for a different set of practices.

Health Revenue Intelligence bills for behavioral-health providers such as residential treatment, detox and intensive outpatient programs, and it runs HRI Med. HRI Med is how HRI serves independent medical, dental and specialty practices, whose services and codes are their own.

What carries over
HRI's running notes on how individual payers behave: the paperwork each one rejects, the step where its applications slow down, the proof it wants before it pays.
What is new
Medical and dental enrollment, medical codes, dental work billed to medical plans, and the coverage questions a new service raises.
What it costs
Enrollment at our published fees: $350 per organization application, $250 per practitioner application and $150 to set up a CAQH profile. Billing is priced from the practice's own numbers, in the agreement. See the rate card
